Buyer's guide
"Best" is a claim every app makes. This guide replaces the claim with a test. Seven criteria, each one explained in terms of what goes wrong when an app fails it, and for each one the concrete setting in Block Guard: Spam Call Blocker that answers it. Why it matters
Every wrong block costs you a real call, and one missed call from a doctor or school is enough to make most people uninstall. The best app checks contacts and whitelists before any blocking rule runs.

Why it matters

Two things people often use to judge a call blocker are missing on purpose. A large "calls blocked" counter is easy to inflate by blocking too much. Neither tells you whether your mother can still reach you.
